Members of the American Health Lawyers Association are provided with many services to help increase their knowledge of the field of health law. Legal journals, current health law news and analysis, and weekly health law information updates are sent to members’ e-mail to keep all legal professionals informed about health law and able to most effectively represent clients. A business directory, national job bank, and mediation and arbitration services are also provided.
A Board of 27 health attorneys governs the American Health Lawyers Association. The Board of Directors meets twice a year. Board members serve on the Nominating Committee, Public Interest Committee, Membership Committee, Audit Committee, Finance Committee, Program Committee, and Publications Committee. The association also has a Past Presidents’ Council. An Executive Committee composed of 10 members meets several times each year.
Since the National Health Lawyers Association and the National Health lawyers Association combined in 1997 to form the American Health Lawyers Association, it has had the vision to lead health law to excellence. Through the many programs the association sponsors, this vision is being fulfilled.
