Established in 1976, the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area (AABA) provides a forum for the expression of opinions on issues concerning Asian American attorneys. As one of the largest Asian American bar associations in the United States, AABA promotes the professional grown of Asian American attorneys, serves the minority and Asian American communities, and fosters effective communication between Association members and the legal community at large. In addition to providing resources to attorneys and the general public, AABA developed several programs to support area law students, including the Mentor-Mentee Program, Law Foundation Scholarships, Law Student Summer Grants, the Annual Summer Associate Reception, and the Annual AABA Career Day. AABA takes pride in a strong history of active involvement in civil rights issues and community service.
