The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) is dedicated to improving the service provided to victims of accidents and clinical negligence in England. APIL believes that the government has a roll to play to ensure that accident victims receive fast, fair compensation. Over 5,000 solicitors and barristers work with the association to fight for law reform to improve access to justice.
Since 1990, APIL has been working on behalf of injured people. APIL’s objectives are to promote full and just compensation for all types of personal injuries, to promote and develop expertise in the practice of personal injury law, to promote wider redress for personal injury in the legal system, to campaign for improvements in personal injury law, to promote safety and alert the public to hazards wherever they arise, and to provide a communication network for all members.
Legal members of APIL are provided with several services. Newsletters and bulletins are sent to all members to keep legal professionals informed about any advances in the field of personal injury law. The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers sponsors seminars and information exchanges. Courses and conferences aimed at advancing and continuing education of personal injury lawyers are provided to APIL members. Discounts and APIL assistance is also provided to members. Together, APIL members fight for full and just compensation for all accident victims.
