Established in 1995, Chapman University School of law is the only law school in Orange County to be located on a university campus. The faculty and staff of the School of Law are proud to offer a school that places the highest of priorities on its students. As to its approach towards academics, the School of Law works to combine traditional educational practices with new technology in order to provide students with an innovate educational experience. While focusing on ethics and citizenship, Chapman stresses a collaborative environment in which to train legal professionals.
Chapman University School of Law has developed several programs and opportunities that allow students to expand upon their classroom instruction. Students may participate in one of the several centers and institutes, including: the Center for Environment, Land Use and Real Estate; the Center for Global Trade and Development; and, the Center for Lawyering and Trial Advocacy. While attending Chapman University School of Law, students may pursue a dual degree, earning a joint JD/Masters of Business Administration. Additionally, the School of Law offers students the opportunity to gain clinical experience in the Ninth Circuit Appellate Clinic, the Claremont Institute Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence, the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic, and the Alona Cortese Elder Law Clinic.
