The Christian Legal Society is an alliance between lawyers, legal professionals, and law students of the Christian faith. The society works effectively to advance the field of law, including personal injury law, while also proclaiming and living by their faith. The society’s purpose includes transforming the legal profession for good by enlisting lawyers and law students everywhere to faithfully serve the field of law and the Christian beliefs. The society promotes ministering to the poor, reconciling people in conflict, defending life, and protecting the religious liberties of all people.
Ever since its establishment in 1961, the Christian Legal Society has worked effectively to fulfill its objectives. National representatives for the society advocate legislative changes that better meet aspects of the Christian faith. Public education campaigns also work to defend the rights of life and liberty for all. Every individual member is responsible for encouraging change in his or her local community and for practicing law fairly and ethically to improve the public sense of the law.
Formally, the vision of the Christian Legal Society is “Seeking Justice with the Love of God” – Luke 10:42; Matthew 23:23.
