Government Accountability Office

The Government Accountability Office is an organization dedicated to insuring that the American government is fulfilling its duties. Accountability, integrity, and reliability are stressed especially for the Congress, the Press, the Auditing and Accountability Community, and any governmental newcomers. The Government Accountability Office ensures that the government is held responsible for all of its actions so that it can best serve the American people.
