In the State of Texas, many people are injured because of the negligence, recklessness, or intentional misconduct of an individual or company. These people have the opportunity to file a personal injury lawsuit with the help of a lawyer in their state. Unfortunately, not all people that call themselves lawyers are reputable or able to properly launch a lawsuit. Membership in the Houston Bar Association is the reassurance needed to insure that an individual is qualified to present a court case in front of Houston courts.
The Houston Bar Association (HBA) is a nonprofit professional organization for attorneys. The HBA provides education, professional development, and service programs for both the legal profession and for the community.
There are several objectives of the association. The association strives to uphold the honor of the Constitution of the United States and the State of Texas by educating both attorneys and citizens of their legal, civic, and ethical responsibilities. A major goal of the association is to enhance the law and uphold the honor and dignity of the profession by providing charitable and legal services. Promotion of professional ethics among its members through education, improvement of community relations through charitable service and education, and the promotion of fellowship among its members are also all-important topics for the Houston Bar Association.
