The United States of America boasts one of the finest legal systems in the world. For over 200 years, the country has provided a fair and just way in which discrepancies can be solved and justice can be served. Many international legal systems base the format of their legal system on that of the United States. When Lithuanian legal professionals choose to practice law within the United States, they are able to access the American legal system with all of its benefits, and all of its responsibilities. However, Lithuanian lawyers retain unique cultural practices and needs. The Lithuanian National Bar Association is the answer for all Lithuanian Americans who practice law.
The Lithuanian National Bar Association is an incorporated, non-profit, national association representing the interests of attorneys, judges, law professors, and law students in the United States and in Lithuania. Lithuanian ancestry is not a requirement for admission into the bar. Anyone who shares the goals of the association is free to become a member.
The association works effectively to maintain the high quality of the legal system in the United States from a perspective that best serves all Lithuanian Americans, as well as other members of the public. Public education programs, continuing legal education opportunities, and conferences are held to share the most recent information regarding law. The organization is known for its contribution to legal matters as well as its continued significance across the United States.
