In the State of Louisiana, many people are injured because of the negligence, recklessness, or intentional misconduct of an individual or company. These people have the opportunity to file a personal injury lawsuit with the help of a lawyer in their state. Unfortunately, not all people that call themselves lawyers are reputable or able to properly launch a lawsuit. Membership in the Louisiana State Bar Association is the reassurance needed to insure that an individual is qualified to present a court case in front of Louisiana courts.
The Louisiana State Bar Association is a legal organization that represents lawyers in the state of Louisiana. The association provides many services to its members. These services include a legal directory, travel discounts, education programs, and the opportunity to network with lawyers across Louisiana. The Bar also strives to enforce lawyers’ position as guardians of the Rule of Law by ethically and competently representing all clients.
The official mission of the Louisiana State Bar Association is to assist and serve its members in the practice of law, assure access to and aid in the administration of justice, assist the Supreme Court in the regulation of practice of law, uphold the honor of the courts and the profession, promote the professional competence of attorneys, increase public understanding of and respect for the law, and encourage collegiality among its members.
