North Carolina Bar Association

In the State of North Carolina, many people are injured because of the negligence, recklessness, or intentional misconduct of an individual or company. These people have the opportunity to file a personal injury lawsuit with the help of a lawyer in their state. Unfortunately, not all people that call themselves lawyers are reputable or able to properly launch a lawsuit. Membership in the North Carolina Bar Association is the reassurance needed to insure that an individual is qualified to present a court case in front of North Carolina courts.
The North Carolina Bar Association is a voluntary organization representing legal professionals in the State of North Carolina. The honorable mission of the association is to serve the public and the legal profession by promoting the administration of justice and encouraging the highest standards of integrity, competence, civility, and well-being of all members of the profession. A Board of Governors, comprised of 32 representatives, coordinates the actions of the bar. Approximately eighth percent of legal professionals in the state are members of the association.
The North Carolina Bar Association, founded in 1899, provides many services to attorneys, including continuing legal education programs, and to the general public, including a series of legal information pamphlets and a nonprofit lawyer referral service. Each year, the association sponsors continuing legal education programs. Specialized curriculum allows each course to provide legal professionals with the information that is crucial to their practice, including classes that offer focus on personal injury law.
