This past Sunday, three people were injured at a Las Vegas bus stop when an SUV veered onto the sidewalk and struck them. One of the victims was a 3-year-old girl. According to police, the girl and two other adults could not move out of the way quickly enough when the SUV’s driver lost control of the vehicle at an intersection.
The driver of the SUV fled the scene and drove behind a few local buildings before stopping. Witnesses held him there until police arrived at the scene of the pedestrian accident. The driver was identified as a 22-year-old male resident of Las Vegas. So far, police have charged the man with:
- Suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs
- Suspicion of hit-and-run
- Driving without a driver’s license
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the pedestrian accident. The medical condition of the three victims has not yet been released.
