Pennsylvania Bar Association

In the State of Pennsylvania, many people are injured because of the negligence, recklessness, or intentional misconduct of an individual or company. These people have the opportunity to file a personal injury lawsuit with the help of a lawyer in their state. Unfortunately, not all people that call themselves lawyers are reputable or able to properly launch a lawsuit. Membership in the Pennsylvania Bar Association is the reassurance needed to insure that an individual is qualified to present a court case in front of Pennsylvania courts.
The Pennsylvania Bar Association is an organization that represents legal professionals in the state of Pennsylvania. The honorable mission of the association is to advance the science of jurisprudence; to promote the administration of justice; to see that no one, on account of poverty, is denied his or her legal rights; to secure proper legislation; to encourage a thorough legal education; to uphold the honor and dignity of the bar; to cultivate cordial intercourse among the lawyers of Pennsylvania; and to perpetuate the history of the profession and the memory of its members.
The association was originally incorporated in 1895. Although society and the day-to-day pressures of practicing law have changed since 1895, the mission of the Pennsylvania Bar Association is as relevant today as it was over 100 years ago. From the original 592 charter members, the association has grown to over 27,000 influential members. The Pennsylvania Bar Association remains dedicated to serving the needs of all attorneys across the state. In that way, the best interests of the public are addressed.
