In the State of Pennsylvania, many people are injured because of the negligence, recklessness, or intentional misconduct of an individual or company. These people have the opportunity to file a personal injury lawsuit with the help of a lawyer in their state. Unfortunately, not all people that call themselves lawyers are reputable or able to properly launch a lawsuit. Membership in the Philadelphia Bar Association is the reassurance needed to insure that an individual is qualified to present a court case in front of Philadelphia courts.
The Philadelphia Bar Association is a group of legal professionals in the Philadelphia area who are dedicated to promoting the legal system for lawyers and for the public. The official mission of the Philadelphia Bar Association is to serve the profession and the public by promoting justice, professional excellence, and respect for the rule of law. In so doing, the Association strives to foster understanding of, involvement in, and access to the justice system.
Members of the Association attend informative workshops, meetings and special programs and receive significant discounts on continuing legal education courses offered through the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the Philadelphia Bar Education Center. At sessions sponsored by the 54 committees and eight sections, members meet and network with colleagues who are experts in every possible legal specialty, including personal injury law. A monthly legal newspaper, an economic benefits package, and a career-planning center are also offered to members of the Philadelphia Bar Association.
