The Richmond Journal of Law and Technology was the first law review in the world to be published exclusively online. First published on April 10, 1995, the journal focuses on the impact that computer-related and other emerging technologies have on the law. The journal is published entirely by students of the University of Richmond School of Law. Publishing online is tremendously beneficial in allowing the journal to reach a much wider audience than would have been possible using the traditional hardcopy method. The Richmond Journal of Law and Technology reaches thousands of readers per month in more than 70 countries around the world. 4-5 issues per academic year are normally published. Each issue covers a broad range of topics ranging from developing legal issues on the Internet to issues concerning personal injury law.
