The State Bar Association of North Dakota represents legal professionals in North Dakota. Founded in 1899, the State Bar currently has 1,800 members. It is the official statewide organization of lawyers and the oldest unified state bar association in the nation. Admissions into the bar are stringent. Every potential lawyer must complete a series of rigorous tests to prove that they are competent to practice law in the state of North Dakota.
